Job Description
Blue Pyrenees Estate produces Traditional Method Sparkling wine plus red and white table wine from estate grown fruit as well as a small portion of contract growers. The Winery also processes fruit as a contract winemaker.

The Winery is expecting to process approximately 1000t of fruit in vintage 2018.

The Cellar Hand positions will start in the first week of February 2018 and run till the end of vintage (approx late April depending on vintage conditions) . There are often opportunities for post vintage work through May and June.

Cellar hands will be involved in all activities required for the day to day running of the cellar during the pre vintage and vintage periods. The winery runs 2 shifts daily and within these small teams an individual can expect to perform a wide range of tasks.

Job Requirements
• A forklift license and high competency is highly desirable
• A drivers license valid for driving manual vehicles in Australia
• The ability to work extended hours during vintage (day/night shift)in a physically demanding environment
• A high awareness of work place OH&S issues and practices.
• At least 2 Vintages experience with demonstrated competency in winery Sanitation, juice and wine racking/ transfers, common winery additions (fining agents, acids, SO2 etc),barrel work and vintage operations
• Strong English language skills (verbal and written)
• The ability to work in small teams
• Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid Australian work permit.
• A medical will be required before confirmation of employment
