Job Description
Responsible for the growth and management of the Cellar Door. Facilitates the day to day running of the Cellar Door, with responsibility for the effective delivery of wine knowledge, product and excellence in service through all customer interactions and channels.
Core Accountabilities:
Tasting Room Management
• Business development of Cellar Door and Online sales to achieve agreed KPI’s
• Responsible for the provision of service to all customers of the Cellar Door
• Stock control of all wine and beverages, including ordering and stock management
• Maintain all accommodation Check in and Out procedures
• Ensure all areas are clean and orderly
• Establish procedure and policy for the Cellar Door, and ensure all staff are trained adequately
• Keep rosters up to date and easily accessible
• Work collaboratively to achieve objectives
• Provide training, supervision and guidance to casual CD staff
• In consultation with other team members, manage and distribute daily work tasks to meet required deadlines, optimising efficiency, effectiveness and minimising cost
• Actively participate in meetings
• Communicate with the management on a regular basis regarding tasting room management and/or issues
• Promote Longview Vineyard and its products/experiences at every available opportunity
• Participate in key promotional and marketing initiatives like monthly wine competition co-ordination
• Provide feedback from internal & external customers on promotional activities
• Assist where required with the preparation of event packs, menus, tickets, posters, catalogues, brochures and other printed material as required
• Develop and implement marketing strategies in consultation with the Sales Manager to grow the Tasting Room and Online business
• Represent Longview in line with Brand vision at all times

Job Requirements
• A passion for wine and a strong desire to share your enthusiasm with customers and staff
• Extensive level wine knowledge, including wines of the world and wine making processes
• Strong communication skills with both customers and staff
• Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
• Proven planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to work though issues in the resolution of problems
• Demonstrate appropriate leadership as required in job role
