An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, enthusiastic and talented Assistant Vineyard Manager to support our Vineyard Manager, overseeing our Martinborough vineyards. Totalling more than 115 planted hectares, the vineyards are intensively managed, high density, super-premium sites with cool climate varieties of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in viticultural management and maybe looking for an opportunity to take that next step up. A tertiary qualification in viticulture is preferred along with an understanding of contract labour management, technical information and the general operations of a vineyard.

Job Requirements
Attributes required for success with this position include:

• Strong discipline in planning and organisational skills
• High level of presentation and communication
• Experience operating general vineyard machinery
• Irrigation knowledge encompassing field work and irrigation scheduling would be desirable.

This hands on role would suit an individual who enjoys getting involved in multiple facets of a vineyard, demonstrates a high degree of self-motivation and relishes additional responsibility.
