Are you a passionate and self-motivated Viticultural professional? We are on the hunt for our newest supply team member to join us on a full-time basis. We have the flexibility for the right person to be based in either Regional Victoria (Mildura) or Regional South Australia (Riverland or Barossa Valley). Reporting to the local Regional Winemaker/Grower Liaison Officer; the position is primarily responsible for assisting in grower portfolio management across inland regions principally Mildura and Riverland. This includes working with the National Viticulturist to assist in the development and implementation of viticulture processes/technical development/education that is aimed at achieving Pernod Ricard Winemakers objectives for wine quality and vineyard sustainability in inland regions.
The position provides an excellent balance between viticultural seasonal activities throughout Riverland/Murray Darling as well as cool climate viticultural areas in both NSW and Victoria.
What the role includes:
• Seasonal technical viticulture tasks
• Vineyard inspections and fruit classification
• Participate in viticulture Research & Development
• Commercial grape supply activities
What you bring:
• Tertiary qualification in Viticulture or a related discipline along with industry experience is mandatory.
• You will have exceptional relationship building skills
• High attention to detail
• An uncompromising approach to quality, safety & environment.
• Intermediate computer literacy and ability to work in a team is required.
During Vintage we need flexibility from you to work extended hours including weekend work. Regular Intra and Interstate travel is required. Knowledge or experience working with Australian varieties and practical experience in Riverland/Sunraysia will be highly regarded.
