Job Description
The highly awarded 5 star Warrenmang Winery & Resort in the stunning Pyrenees region of Victoria is offering a very exciting opportunity for a qualified Bottling Supervisor to assist in the establishment and supervision of a new bottling line.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bottling Operations Supervisor is responsible for all bottling operations, warehousing, specialty packaging, packaging procurement, and inventory management, all warehouse activities including shipping and receiving and inventory control. Ensures the proper sanitation and maintenance of all bottling line equipment. This position supervises Bottling Line Staff.

Job Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directs the winery bottling operation
• Development and implementation of a production model aimed at eliminating waste, downtime, improving costs and delivery and instills continuous improvement and prevention
• Develops short and long-range goals and objectives
• Reviews and analyzes activities, costs and operational effectiveness
• Ensures quality control is maintained in all aspects of bottling production
• Purchases packaging materials aligning deliveries with the bottling schedule to ensure adequate inventory of all bottling supplies.
• Generates purchase orders and approves and codes invoices as required.
• Oversees the care of equipment including preventative maintenance and arranges immediate repair as necessary
• Develops a system to ensure adequate inventory of spare parts and equipment to keep the line running
• Ensures daily proper sanitation of line equipment
• Responsible for the proper storage of all packaging materials at the winery and case goods ensuring accurate inventory counts through regular cycle counting and physical inventories
• Ensures shipments are accurate and on time
• Ensures all safety rules are enforced
• Ensures training and development of the production staff

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Substantial experience in manufacturing/production in a food or beverage production facility with a bottling line
• Knowledge of wine and wine production is strongly preferred
• Experience installing a new bottling line including research and recommendations on the ancillary equipment to purchase.
• Proven experience implementing measures to improve efficiency
Ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be quality focused and team oriented
• Proficient in MS Office
• Driver’s license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The bottling department is a noisy environment when the bottling line is running. The warehouse environment is cold and Personal Protective Equipment is required in both of these areas. Must be able to sit, walk and use office equipment for up to 8 hours/day. Must be able to bend, stoop & reach.
