Job Description
The Business Development Manager is a role that requires:

• Develop and implement business growth strategies for developing the China market and promote the sales of wine in that market
• Locate and propose potential business deals by contacting potential customers
• Implement KPI of sales activities for the team members including allocation of appropriate product brands to distributor(s) of each sales area, monitor sales, monitor compliance of distributor(s) with the terms of their distributorship and provide assistance to marketing campaigns to distributor(s) of sales area
• Develop negotiation strategies and positions for new customer development
• Lead the team to prepare company's participation in different wine exhibitions and other related functions in Australia/China and represent the company at such events
• Manages and retain relationships with existing clients/partners
• Enhance company reputation and brand-awareness by increasing customer satisfaction and entering and achieving professional awards
• Work with company marketing team members to further develop bilingual (English & Chinese) marketing material and co-ordinate the design, printing and distribution of wine to customers (existing and potential)
• Examine risks and opportunities, protects company’s interests by keeping information confidential
• Conduct market research to discover/predict new market opportunities and customer preferences

Job Requirements
Key Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
The Business Development Manager is a role that demands a formal business or marketing qualification, or related experience in wine or wine export. These degrees are important for a Business Development Manager.

The successful candidate should also possess soft skills as below:
• Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy, preferably in the wine or wine exporting industry
• Ability to devise and implement business development and marketing strategies, including ecommerce, direct marketing and social media marketing strategies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese Mandarin
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation skill
• Conflict resolution skills and be able work under pressure
• Familiarity with international trading practices desirable
• Experience with trade show and event management desirable
• Ability to self-motivate and motivate a team
• Experience working to and exceeding targets
