Job Description
Following the purchase of Domaine A vineyard, Moorilla is looking for a gun Cellar Hand to join the team! Located on the grounds of Mona in Hobart, this full time position will be busy and hands-on, and we're looking for a positive and experienced go-getter to take up the challenge.

Reporting to the Winemaker/General Manager and Cellar Supervisor you will be involved in day to day cellar operations and responsible for maintaining winery hygiene, presentation and upkeep of our cellar. You will also see to it that equipment is maintained and the operations from vine to bottle are performed to an exceptional standard with safety as the number one priority.

The Gig:
• Undertake all cellar operations, in accordance with established operating procedures, under the supervision of the Winemaker;
• Under direction, perform fruit delivery and processing procedures
• Assist with sparkling, white and red wine fermentation management
• Carry out all cellar operations including additions, rackings, transfers and filtration
• Barrel management and loading/unloading of trucks
• Preparation of wines for bottle
• Bottling, tirage and disgorging
• Assist with regular maintenance of equipment and machinery
• Maintaining cellar cleanliness and presentation to a high standard
Job Requirements
The You:
• Experience in a similar role achieved through a number of vintages coupled with a passion for high quality and cool climate wine
• Strong multi-tasking capability to ensure that multiple jobs can be undertaken at one time all while ensuring quality and efficiency of jobs is maintained
• A team player, with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work
• An understanding of workplace health and safety and a willingness to promote at all times
• Physically able – ability to safely carry hoses, lift crates / boxes, move barriques, puncheons etc
• Enjoy working with and maintaining machinery and equipment
• Experience working with bottling and packaging lines preferred
• Current Australian forklift and drivers licence
