Job Description
Our Client, Patritti Wines, is a South Australian family owned business established in 1926 and operates a five star urban winery in Adelaide’s southern suburbs.

They are known for their award winning wines and juices. Their product range is unique and highly sought after in Australia and overseas. They are looking to recruit a qualified Corporate Accountant who is preferably experienced within the wine industry and is willing to assist the business achieve their goals.

In leading a small team you will have responsibility for accounting, finance, HR and ICT requirements and will present monthly financial management reports to the Board. This is a hands on role with the opportunity to drive efficiencies and further enhance management reporting by unleashing the full potential of newly implemented financial systems.

Reporting to the Managing Director, responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the finance and financial administration functions of the business
• Manage and maintain end of month processes including financial statement preparation, stock control, plant registers and quarterly BAS / PAYG requirements.
• Provide monthly financial management information and reports to relevant Managers (including Actual v Budget reporting)
• Review and manage all product costing requirements and maintain costings within relevant systems
• Comply with all WorkCover, Superannuation and other regulatory and statutory requirements
• Management of cash position, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Manage and oversee the payroll function and related HR matters (including month end) and ensure compliance to relevant awards
• Maintain and control all ICT systems, backups, system maintenance and ICT training requirements
• Involvement with the bank relationship and all relevant finance arrangements and documentation for the business
• In collaboration with relevant senior staff, prepare annual budgets including cash flow forecasts for presentation and adoption by the Board
• Prepare end of year financial statements and supporting documentation for use by external accountants
• Attend monthly Director meetings, provide and address relevant management reports and prepare minutes as required.

Job Requirements
• CPA / CA qualification preferred
• 3-5 years minimum experience in a similar role (wine industry preferred). Manufacturing experience would be well regarded
• High level of IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Xero, Vintrace and Vend would be highly regarded
• Knowledge and experience with financial and compliance procedures for end of month, end of year, BAS/FBT requirements, payroll, WorkCover and super
• General HR / workplace relations knowledge preferred but not essential
• Exceptional interpersonal, reporting, negotiation, time management and organisations skills
• Some out of hours work may be required
