Job Description
We require a Head Chef for our Northern Italian inspired Trattoria d'Soumah. Your role would be to ensure the quality of our food, while controlling food costs, kitchen labour and food hygiene. Our kitchen is open seven days a week for lunch service only and we require a seasoned chef to continue to build our food reputation. We are very busy on weekends so Saturday and Sunday shifts are essential when we will have up to four staff in the kitchen. The weekdays are more sedate and based on confirmed business may only have one kitchen colleague working.
Job Requirements
Chef qualification and at least 10 years experience in supervising a kitchen
Live locally - within a 30 minute drive of Soumah
Have a team attitude helping motivate both kitchen and service team members
Controlling waste, recipe design and placing all food orders so our food cost is on target
Keeping a tight reign of kitchen labour to ensure labour cost is in control
Run a very tidy and clean kitchen where hygiene is of utmost importance
