Job Description
We are an established vineyard in the Hunter Valley for 40 years which recently changed ownership and we have just completed a re-branding project of the winery.
The new owner is investing in the construction of a new winery on site, replant existing and acquire new vineyard with a plan to be a major player in Hunter wine region in 10 years. We will be approaching the market with our own premium brand and a multi brand strategy.


You will be building a strategy for our winery in the coming 10 years and execution for success. Your role will include the following:

* Establish our brand in the market with a Premium positioning.

* Develop a portfolio of high value for money agency wine product for our multi-brand distribution strategy.

* Grow Cellar doors, wine club and on-line sales of our own brand.

* Build a sales team to sell directly to on premises location.

* Source and build relationship with distributor for third party distribution.

* Develop export market.

* Overlook winery operation with our chief wine marker

* Overlook vineyard operation wiht our vineyard manager.

Job Requirements
Duties and Responsibility:

This is a hands on management role. Your key responsibility in the first year is to build our brand in the market. It will mainly require yourself to be hands-on selling in the first and second year whilst you build our brand and portfolio of agency wine. The distribution team will kick in from second year with ground work completed in Year One. You will have a sales, and Profit and Loss budget. You will also have a general management responsibility jointly with wine maker and vineyard manager.

Skills and Experience:

You need an extensive experience in wine product and market with an existing network in wine industry. You will also have prior experience in brand marketing and building a strong sales culture team.
