Sales Area Manager Melbourne - on and off premise

We are looking for expressions of interest from experienced wine sales professionals with industry knowledge, passion, expertise and commitment to join our team.

As an Area Manager, you will service an existing portfolio of on & off premise accounts as well as establishing new business opportunities.

We are seeking applicants with:

• strong wine knowledge
• wine industry experience & local networks
• demonstrated experience in a sales position
• experience & a passion for wine and the hospitality industry
• a commitment to building strong business relationships
• understanding of what excellent customer service is all about

Your energy and enthusiasm will have produced excellent results for you in the past and this is an opportunity to bring those skills to a unique portfolio of wines from Australia, New Zealand, France, Japan, Portugal, USA and Italy.

The successful candidate will be a proactive, strong communicator, extremely well organized and professionally presented.

Sales reports will be required and progress assessed periodically. Commitment and performance will be acknowledged by salary increases either by way of commission and based on responsibility and a capacity to meet sales budgets.

Job Requirements
You will be responsible for achieving a defined sales budget (with distribution and growth targets) by representing a strong product portfolio in specified customer accounts.

You will effectively manage monthly call cycles, build relationships, develop new business, sell in promotions when required.

With a successful track record in territory or customer account sales within the wine industry, you will need to be results focused and display initiative.

You will have energy, drive and a true passion for wine.
Critical to your success, will be your ability to build relationships with customers and achieve profitable sales growth within a solo work environment, with support from the director and office team.

Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid Australian work permit.

Successful applicants MUST hold a valid driver’s license, and RSA certificate.
