Job Description
Established in New Zealand since 1985 and as part of the LVMH Moet Hennessy- Louis Vuitton luxury group, Cloudy Bay Vineyards initially based in Marlborough has recently opened a new Cellar Door in Cromwell, Central Otago. The region is home to the premium TE WAHI, our Central Otago Pinot Noir.
We are currently seeking outgoing individuals with a positive and professional attitude, able to provide an unforgettable experience to our international customers.

As the Cloudy Bay Shed will go through its very first summer season, we are looking for a self-driven and very enthusiastic staff taking part of a new adventure promoting an international brand. This position requires integrity, passion for excellence in hospitality and customer service. Proactivity and team work ability are mandatory as you’ll be in charge for the daily operations of the Cellar Door within the hospitality team. Our Cellar Door will be open seven days, so successful applicants will need to be available to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays from November through to April. Some shorter contracts could also be available.
You will be responsible for:
o Being an ambassador of the brand by hosting all visitors and sharing knowledge related to the brand DNA and its wines,
o Delivering an outstanding level of service and experience,
o Ensuring day-to-day customer service: inside and outside areas setting up, orders placing with use of the Point of Sales, safe handling of all transactions, food preparing, wine and food service & cleaning up, wine and merchandise sales & stock monitoring, end of day tidying and cleaning up,
o Encouraging visitors loyalty through the promotion of the TE WAHI merchandising and the wine club,
o Being proactive to improve the place efficiency by working closely with other team members,
o Being able to host different types of publics and nationalities,
o Keeping the place clean and tidy at all times, including indoor, outdoor and kitchen areas,
o Being aware of the health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment

Job Requirements
In order to succeed in this position, you will have:

o English essential, additional language is a plus
o A passion for Customer Service – friendly and focused on continually exceeding customer expectations
o A sales orientation - able to convert positive experiences into sales of Cloudy Bay wines, food and merchandise
o Excellent communication skills
o Ability to work cooperatively and positively in a team environment
o A ‘Can do’ attitude with a very good eye for details
o A Good understanding of wine making and viticulture practices
o You will be physically fit as the job involves standing and lifting
o A Computer proficiency
o A duty Manager qualification highly would be appreciated but not mandatory

The role is required from October 2018 until April 2019
