Job Description
Hemera Estate Winery is located at Lyndoch at the Southern end of the Barossa Valley.
Hemera Estate is a James Halliday 5 Star rated winery. Hemera Estate has over 20 hectares of vines planted to both Rhone and Bordeaux varietals with the oldest vines, Grenache planted in 1912. The company mantra is the perfect balance between intensity, structure and elegance.

Vintage Winemaker:
We are seeking an enthusiastic "hands on" vintage winemaker to join our team, with the potential for a full-time role beyond vintage.
The Vintage Winemaker will be responsible for the day to day running of the winery over the vintage period.

Vintage Cellar Hand:
An experienced vintage cellar hand required for harvest to carry out a wide range of vintage operations including, but not limited to fruit intake, crushing, pump-overs, digging out fermenters, pressing, filling barrels, and the usual cleaning tanks, barrels, floors and winemakers.....

Job Requirements
The role of winemaker reports through to the company director and winemaking consultant. The vintage winemaker is responsible for all aspects of wine production from harvest through to barrel maturation. They must ensure accurate record keeping of winery administration, LIP. Manage and ensure OH&S compliance. Be able to manage staff and be part of a small team and carry out basic wine analysis SO2, pH, TA, Malos VA's...
The role is ideally suited to a tertiary qualified winemaker that has at least 2 years’ experience in a small boutique sized winery with the focus on premium wine production. Applicant must have current drivers licence and forklift licence.

The Vintage Cellarhand role reports to the winemaker. They must have experience in all aspects of winery production in small boutique sized wineries focussing on red production. The candidate must be able to work as part of a small team. Applicant must have current drivers licence and forklift licence.
