AVL currently has an exciting opportunity for a permanent/full time Workplace Health and Safety Business Partner at our Buronga Hill Winery, located at Buronga NSW, a 15-minute drive from Mildura.

Reporting to the WHS Manager, the WHS Business Partner will be responsible for the ownership and accountability of the following:

• Continuous improvement of WHS systems, strategies and functions in line with relevant legislation and contemporary practice, especially relating to high risk work sites;
• Collaborative partnership with stakeholders to proactively maintain a preventative safety culture;
• Timely conduction of WHS audits and incident investigations including trend identification and outcome reports;
• Effective delivery of innovative WHS training and education programs to improve safety standards and reduce risks;
• Regular site visits across three State jurisdictions including regional locations;
• Other WHS duties as required by the WHS Manager.
Job Requirements
Essential experience:
A bachelor degree in safety or in a related discipline is essential. A Post Graduate qualification will be highly regarded. A minimum of three to five years’ experience working in a lead safety role, specifically in manufacturing or agriculture, is preferred.
The successful applicant must also be able to conduct WHS system audits (Exemplar Global Auditor qualification would be advantageous) and have completed an ICAM Investigator course.
The ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate transparently, in accordance with AVL’s Vision and Values will be critical to your success.
