A well respected, family-owned winemaker is looking for a talented individual to join the McWilliams Wines Production Team as Leading Hand/Trainee Assistant Vineyard Manager, based at Hanwood, Griffith.

Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, the Leading Hand/Trainee Assistant Vineyard Manager will be responsible to assist in carrying out a cost effective and profitable production of grapes from the sites 460 hectares of vineyards, in accordance with standards determined by the Company. This role will require utilisation of your previous experience with the operation of all vineyard equipment and be able to work with and at times lead the vineyard hands.

Requirements
The successful candidate will exhibit the following qualities:

* Tertiary Qualifications in Viticulture, with degrees in Agriculture or Horticulture considered
* Minimum 3 years hands on experience in a Viticulture with a preference given to a warm climate
* Sound understanding of vineyard operations and management
* Supervisory experience and ability to prioritise tasks
* Able to work in a team or independently
* Ability to commit to seasonal varied working hours
* Computer skills encompassing MS Excel and Word
* You possess strong communication skills and are a self-driven professional with a sociable and reliable character
* A current drivers licence as travel is required
