Grape and Wine Production Technical Officer

Join a multi disciplinary team and take responsibility for evaluating and trialling varied technologies, processes and initiatives that contribute to the production of sustainable grape and wine products. Bring expertise to this critical national role and truly influence our highly regarded wine business.
Develop and implement processes that add value to grape and wine production and maintain currency with research and development. Get involved in managing responses to seasonal issues such as heat extremes, smoke taint, salt levels and disease levels. Facilitate the incorporation of tools and processes to aid vintage decisions and maximise grape and wine quality.
Requirements
Your natural ability to liaise with stakeholders and confidently provide analytical reporting support to the General Manager, Sustainability, will ensure you develop to your highest potential. Outcome focussed your qualification in winemaking, food production or a related science discipline will enable your success in this great role. Your background in applied research and development in the food or beverage industry will ensure you have an innovative approach to your role and excellent report writing and presentation skills. You must be flexible to travel interstate and experience with Geographical Information Systems would be highly regarded.
