Job Description

About the Winery: Kayena Winery is in Tasmania, north of Launceston in the renowned Tamar Valley and is a leading producer of quality cool climate Tasmanian wines. The winery draws grapes from a wide range of sites throughout Tasmania, processing approximately 3,000 tonnes annually.

Cellar Supervisors & Cellar Hands – you will be involved in all aspects of wine production including grape receival and processing, racking, additions, ferment management, blending and barrel work. Supervisors will have additional staff supervision responsibilities.

Laboratory Supervisor – your primary responsibility will be to carry out all chemical, physical, and microbiological testing, supervise casual Laboratory Technician and perform trial work as required by the winery.

Job Requirements

Cellar Supervisors & Cellar Hands - previous experience in a winery setting, a mechanical aptitude, an Australian accredited forklift licence and significant forklift operating experience is essential. Cellar Supervisors will be required to have significant cellar/vintage experience in a supervisory role.

All roles required at least three (3) year’s vintage experience to ensure success.
