Job Description
Blue Pyrenees Estate is seeking enthusiastic and capable people to join our 2022 harvest team. There are a number of positions available across the full spectrum of experience levels but all offer an opportunity to gain wine making experience across a wide range of varieties and wine styles .

While the new Covid 19 reality will create many challenges in organising and processing vintage 2022 it also offers scope for individuals to move into roles that are the next step in their career journey. This could be as simple as taking the plunge for your first vintage or developing your supervision skills within the harvest crew.

Situated 7km from Avoca in Western Victoria, the Blue Pyrenees Estate production facility has consistently produced award winning red, white and rose table wines as well traditional sparkling wines for over 50 years. As a part of the Richmond Smith Wine Group the Blue Pyrenees Estate winery processes fruit from 3 company owned vineyards across the Pyrenees and Grampians regions as well as small amounts of purchased fruit. The facility also provides contract winemaking and bottling services.

The Cellar Hand positions will start in the late January or early February and run till the end of vintage (approx early May depending on vintage conditions) . There are often opportunities for post vintage work through June and July.

Cellar hands will be involved in all activities required for the day to day running of the cellar during the pre-vintage and vintage periods. The winery runs 2 shifts daily and within these small teams an individual can expect to perform a wide range of tasks.

Employment packages include free onsite accommodation, a modest wine allocation and occasional/shared use of a company vehicle.
