Job Description
Forester Estate is a family owned 700t capacity winery situated in the northern Margaret River region.The winery houses the best of new technology which is coupled with proven traditional winemaking techniques to ensure the exceptional quality grown in the vineyard is preserved in the finished product.
We are seeking expressions of interest for casual vintage Cellar Hands and a Lab Technician beginning in February 2025.
Cellar Hands will be involved with all operations including crushing, pressing, additions, cleaning, racking, flotation, filling barrels, digging out ferments, forklifting and any other jobs as required.
The Lab Technician will be performing all basic analysis eg: FSO2, TSO2, pH, TA, baume as well as enzymatic analysis using a spectrophotometer (YAN, RS, Malic Acid) and monitoring ferments. In addition to this, the Lab Tech will also be performing adds to tanks and barrels, yeast inoculations, tank cleaning and other jobs as required.
Required training and information will be provided to perform the given tasks.
Job Requirements
Applicants must have the following attributes:
• At least one vintage experience is desirable.
• Must be a team player and can also work independently.
• Right attitude to adapt and learn.
• Display a level of responsibility and attention to personal safety
• Hard working and someone who has the passion for winemaking.
• Good sense of humor.
• Holds or willing to obtain a valid Forklift license.
• Willing to work shifts and weekends.
