About Us
The Randall Wine Group has significant vineyard holdings across most growing regions in South Australia in addition to a number of wineries. The largest producer of luxury bulk wine, we are also famous for our premium fine wine brands - Seppeltsfield in the Barossa as well as Penny’s Hill Wines and Gemtree Wines in McLaren Vale.
We have opportunities for seasoned and experienced casual Cellar Hands and Laboratory Assistants to join our McLaren Vale team for vintage 2025, primarily focused on red wine production. Applicants with cellar experience and forklift licence to be rewarded. We also have a few opportunities available for people new to cellar work, who have a genuine interest in developing their experience in the wine industry.
McLaren Vale was the first creation in The Randall Group empire back in 1993 and has continued to be expanded over the last 20 years. We have three wineries: Tinlins Winery, Boars Rock Winery and Ryecroft Winery that process fruit from premium regions that include: Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, Coonawarra, Currency Creek, Langhorne Creek, Riverland and McLaren Vale.

About the Position
Cellar operations will include receiving and processing fruit, operating winery equipment including, crusher, presses and pumps and carrying out the cleaning of tanks and cellar equipment.
Laboratory Assistants will need to be capable of running day to day analysis typical of that for a winery during vintage. This would include grape sample analysis, baume, pH/TA, SO2, alcohols and enzymatic (G&F, malic & acetic).
You will have a unique opportunity to work alongside our experienced and expert winemakers.
The position includes:
- Working 10 -12 hours a day
- 6 day week across a 7 day/night roster
- Night and day shifts available;
- Fully paid induction and safety training;
- Regular support and on the job training from an experienced wine making team;

We anticipate vintage to commence mid-February 2025 and last for approximately 8-10 weeks.
Job Requirements
About You
Ideally you will have had previous experience working as a Cellar Hand or Laboratory Assistant, but for people new to the wine industry we do have a few opportunities too. A Forklift license and/or previous experience running a centrifuge is highly desirable, so too is experience working with a Foss Wine Scan unit and Kone Lab.
You will also be hardworking and enthusiastic, enjoy learning new skills and thrive in a busy fast paced environment.
