Job Description
Tamburlaine Organic Wines are Australia’s largest producer of certified organic wine with approximately 500 hectares of the company’s own and contract vineyards being located in the Hunter Valley, Orange Region and broader Central Ranges of New South Wales. We define our style as ‘contemporary organics’ with the utilisation of technical know-how and continued innovation to craft premium branded wines.

Continued growth and recent expansions in winemaking have created an exciting opportunity to join the team as Winemaker at our new Orange based facility with an anticipated crush of 4-5000T annually. This position suits a proficient and practical individual with experience in medium-to-large facilities and who are committed to the production of high quality wine focusing on continued innovation and improvement.

Reporting to the Senior Winemaker, the individual will be required to work independently and manage a small group of staff year round, with growing supervision over the vintage period. Additionally the role will encompass liaison with independent brands to which our Orange facility will provide contract winemaking services, and thereby the successful candidate will require customer relationship skills and the related administration experience involved in managing such services. Prior experience in these areas would also be advantageous.

Job Requirements
The Winemaker will be a ‘hands on’ role requiring extended hours during the vintage period. In addition to a degree in Oenology / Wine Science this position requires 5+ years of supervisory experience in a medium-to-large scale winery.

Essential Job Functions:
