The 2012 Vintage Photo Competition
R.I.P
This year's competition is in tribute to that once great company that defined photography for the past 100 years and became a household name, Kodak. Unfortunately 2012 will be remembered as the year that Kodak went the way of the Dodo, and the Kodak moment phraseology is all that's left. So get ready to capture those Kodak moments one last time.
See below for instructions on how to enter.
The first five weeks were gratefully sponsored by Cumulus Wines.
Week 1 (14/2/2012) - Vintage Preparation
This weeks' winning photo was noticable for the way the start of vintage pulls family and friends together. We would just like to say however, that the three staff members in the photo were NOT obtained through Wine Industry Jobs!
Photo submitted by Karen Ford, Boston Bay Wines, SA. Well done Karen, we have a nice bottle of Cumulus Estate wine coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 2 (21/2/2012) - Vineyard Landscapes
This weeks' judging was the hardest from all the competitions we have run over the past three years. We had some fantastic landscapes proffered from all over the globe, however, it is the essence that sometimes offers the edge.
Photo submitted by Mark Nicholson 'Deer Farm' Upper Yarra Valley. Well done Mark, we have a nice bottle of Cumulus Estate wine coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 3 (28/2/2012) - Tractor Drivers on Tractors
This weeks winner is a real Champion that goes by the name Flash.
Photo submitted by Hannah Stace from Dromana Estate. Hannah writes "Pete Bauer our vineyard manager spends hundreds of hours on our tractor in preparation for that exciting time of the year, as do vineyard staff everywhere, to the point where the tractor starts to feel like a bit of a confidant or a family member. We’re quite attached to our beloved Kubota, & we included her in some staff shots we had taken recently for our business website. In one particular photo it seems that too many hours have been spent in the vineyard & the tractor crazies have taken hold of poor Pete."
Well done Hannah, we have a nice bottle of Cumulus Estate wine coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 4 (6/3/2012) - Happy Faces at the Receival Bin
Considering the flooding going on all over two States, a guess the best we could hope for was a smirk or two, although we do have it on good authority that the lady in the blue face mask is grinning from ear to ear.
Photo submitted by Guy Raynor, Brown Brothers. Well done Guy, we have a nice bottle of Cumulus Estate wine coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 5 (13/3/2012) - Water at Work
Andrew put the judges into a spin with this entry as we were expecting many photos of flooded vineyards but didn't get a single one.
Photo submitted by Andrew Cherry, Alkoomii Wines. Well done Andrew, we have a nice bottle of Cumulus Estate wine coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 6 (20/3/2012) - White Wine Lees

This photo was taken by Aharon Staff of Eden Road Wines in NSW. We have a nice bottle of wine coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 8 (3/4/2012) - Pumps'n Hoses
We're sure there is a pump attached to the end of one of those hoses somewhere.
This photo titled 'Spaghetti Factory' was taken by Andrew Duff of Pooles Rock Wines in NSW. We have a nice bottle of GWG wine coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.

Week 11 (24/4/2012) - These Boots Were Made for Stomp'n
It looks like the only thing that doesn't get wine on them is Peter Comisels' boots!
PS. Pete, sign that T-Shirt and put it on eBay.
This photo was submitted by Dot Hollow from Sandy Farm Winery. Thanks Dot, we have a nice bottle of wine coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
