This year's competition is starting a little bit earlier due to a nice warm vintage hurrying everything up in most places.
See below for instructions on how to enter.
Week 1 (ending 5/2/2013) - Vintage Preparation
This weeks' photo theme is for all those with some crazy little photo apps on their smartphones. Send in a snap and make it crazy, goofy or just plain weird while keeping the theme in mind.
(Ed's Note: Okay is it just me or is the idea of a clean winery totally bizarre?)
Photo submitted by Natillie Johnston, Yarra Valley. Well done Natallie, we have a nice bottle of wine coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 2 (ending 12/2/2013) - Open
This weeks' photo theme is an open category due to the large variation of harvest dates. Give it your best shot (pun intended)...

'Caught Red Handed'
Photo submitted by Gianni Travaglione, Barossa. Well done Gianni, we have a nice bottle of wine coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 3 (ending 19/2/2013) - Wine Dogs
This weeks' photo theme is an easy one, most wineries have them and they even have their own book.
Photographers Caption:
'The Lazier Crew members. Along for the ride.'
(Ed's Note: This industry is really starting to go to the dogs!)
Photo submitted by Natillie Johnston, Yarra Valley. Well done Natallie, that's two out of three weeks that you've won. We have a nice bottle of wine coming your way, and keep sending them in.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 4 (ending 5/3/2013) - Wine Harvest / Processing
This weeks' photo theme encompasses the thrill of harvest and processing some the seasons grapes.
Photographers Caption:
'Cupcake anyone?'
(Ed's Note: This vintage is truely shaping up as peculiar, Anthony says these were the first grapes harvested.)
Photo submitted by Anthony Grundel, of Murray Street Vintners. Well done Anthony, we have a nice bottle of Pinot Noir coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 5 (ending 12/3/2013) - Lees Please?
Without doubt, this weeks' photo theme represents the most sensual of by-products....lees! You kind of just want to roll in it, well maybe watch somebody else roll in it.
Photo submitted by Marius Gitoi of Pillitteri Estates, Canada. Well done Marius, while it is cost prohibitive to send you a bottle Pinot Noir, we will be sure to send you something just as good your way, albeit a little lighter.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 6 (ending 19/3/2013) - Those crazy men (and women) and their fantastic vineyard machines?
Take this weeks' photo theme anyway you please eg: tractors, harvesters, netting machines, gas guns, quads...
Photo submitted by Al Clue of Nagambie, VIC. Well done Al, we have a nice bottle of Pinot Noir coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 7 (ending 26/3/2013) - GumBoots
If it weren't for me gumboots where would I be, I'd be in the hospital or in the infirmary.
Ed's Note: We often forget the work that boots do, so instead of giving the prize to the cleanest, prettiest, or pinkest boots (yes Sarah - you know who I'm talking to), we are rewarding the less is more notion....and it's quite artisticly done in B+W.
Photo submitted by Jo Perry of Margaret River, WA. Well done Jo, we have a nice bottle of vino coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 8 (ending 2/4/2013) - Team Spirit
During vintage, many people work very, very, very long hours, and if it wasn't for the close camaraderie forged by these vintage crews, they would all go stir crazy.
(Ed's Note: Too Late!!! This picture had to be bigger than the others to really capture that Team 'Spirit'.)
"Did someone say spirit, pass that there moonshine bor."
Photo submitted by Fi Shephard, Flaxman Wines, SA. Well done Fi, we have a nice bottle of vino coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 9 (ending 9/4/2013) - Ze Laboratory, Mwahahahaha.
No one really knows what goes on in here, so here's an opportunity to expose perhaps the industries craziest of crazies.
Ed's Note: See what I mean about the craziest of the crazies, who else would take a photo of themselves while mouth pipetting H2O2!
(just kidding)
Photo submitted by Lieke van der Hulst, McLaren Vale. Well done Lieke, we have a nice bottle of vino (and an ambulance) coming your way.
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Week 10 (23/4/2013) - Barrels of Fun
Ed's Note: What has the photo below got to do with the theme 'Barrels of Fun' you ask?
Is it the Barrel Press on the left side, nope. Is it the kookaburra standing on the netwiz, maybe. in reality, it was the only photo we got for that week, so it just goes to show, take five seconds to snap a pic and email it and you can win a $30 bottle of wine.
Photo submitted by Dot Hollow, Sandy Farm Winery near Daylesford.
Dot writes "We call this Kooka...Beureguard...he's been around this vintage and last..We love seeing him....Barrels of fun...It's the simple things in life ya?"
Well done Dot, we have a nice bottle of Pinot Noir coming your way.
BONUS THEME (ending 28/5/2013) - After Vintage Celebrations
Here is thje winning photo for the bonus week and the $40 bottle of wine.
Photo submitted by Lolita Roche from Juniper Estate.
Congrats Lolita, you have a nice bottle of 2008 Maison de Grand Esprit Les Seize Galets Crozes Hermitage
Here is the runner up photo, submitted by Paul Gardner of Francois Raveneau (bad luck Paul, you were only 6 months too early...or is that 6 months too late?)
and lastly, Tim White sends us this pic which probably sums it all up for those involved in the long hours of vintage
Thank you to all the other entrants.
Until next year folks, however in the meantime, please feel free to send us any wine related pics that we can publish and if we think it's good enough, you'll probably win something.
