Job Description
Cape Mentelle Vineyard is proud to be one of Margaret River’s ‘founding' wineries. Our winery has pioneered many of the region’s renowned wine styles and today is a benchmark for the quality of the region’s wines. We aim to produce wines that capture a unique sense of place in every bottle. Their characteristics are defined by our pristine coastal location, unique soils and 50 years of viticultural history.
We are seeking a permanent skilled Cellar Hand who has at least 3 years experience in premium wine production to join the team. This opportunity will allow you to be part of an iconic brand working in a fulfilling environment. The Cellar Hand position is an integral member of the Cape Mentelle cellar team responsible for the day to day operations of the winery, assisting with the preparation of all wines in the winery, and assisting with the barrel program within specifications advised by the winemaking management team. You will participate in all cellar operations and vintage processing, whilst maintaining winery hygiene to ensure wine quality. Attention to detail and a desire for perpetual improvement is essential.
Job Requirements
• Previous winery experience - 2 years Cellar Hand experience with a minimum 3 vintages
• Qualification in Wine, Beverages or Food Operations and Technologies or equivalent preferred
• Safety Awareness and working knowledge of health & safety requirements
• Practical approach to solving problems and a can-do attitude
• Good communication skills
• Strong team player
• Ability to work autonomously when required
• Certification and experience in forklift driving
• Rights to work in Australia
