Reporting to the Riverland Wine Independent Chair, you will work closely with the Board and other stakeholders to achieve the objectives established in the strategic plan.

In this dynamic Executive Officer role, you will oversee relationships with and between the membership base of 900+ winegrowers and winemakers. In your pursuit of outcomes that will benefit the Riverland community, environment, and economy you will have direct and frequent engagement with wine industry agencies and government institutions.

Other key responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and identifying regular and clear channels of communication with members, supporters, and stakeholders
• Developing Riverland Wine’s profile within the region
• Managing, monitoring, and reporting on the organisation’s financial performance
• Supporting the Board with strategic development
• Writing or overseeing submissions, applying for funding, and preparing detailed acquittals against grants from various funding bodies

Job Requirements
For this rare opportunity, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate highly developed communication ability, ability to supervise staff, strategic planning, and project management skills.

To be successful in this role, you will have/be:
• Able to support producers in meeting their objectives for commercial success, drawing on a range of industry partners and resources
• Proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders and partners at all levels to build networks and relationships for the benefit of the organisation and stakeholders
• Able to engage with an audience effectively across all relevant channels including media outlets, social media, EDM and industry platforms
• Demonstrated ability to successfully prepare, analyse, and report financial information
• Australian Drivers Licence
• Literate with Microsoft platform software

Ideally you would have general management experience in areas such as technical and financial management, as well as a strong understanding of the wine and primary production sectors.
