Job Description
Cimicky Estate is a small Barossa Valley winery with a long history and widely acclaimed wines. Our focus is on quality Barossa Valley and Eden Valley red wines, crushing approximately 50 tonnes for vintage 2025 and expanding for vintage 2026 and beyond.
We are looking for an experienced, energetic, enthusiastic and positive person to join the small team. The role would be primarily based in the cellar for Vintage 2025, involving all aspects of the winemaking process from fruit receival, crushing / destemming, red pump overs, fermentation management, additions and pressing to barrel work. However, as we are a small winery and team the role would diversify to include vineyard work, warehouse, gardening and maintenance especially if the role is ongoing. With this role you will experience every facet of the business. We are looking for someone with strong previous winery experience as well as ideally some experience working in vineyards. For the right candidate this role can become permanent.
Job Requirements
• An ability to work well with the winemaking / cellar / vineyard team
• Great attention to detail, a quality focus and cleanliness
• Willing to work extended hours and weekends
• A current forklift licence or be prepared to undertake the necessary training and accreditation
• Must be physically fit as the vintage period is physically demanding
• A can-do attitude and pride in their work
• Applicants must have Australian citizenship / residency or a valid Australian work permit
