About the Winery: Kayena Winery is in Tasmania, north of Launceston in the renowned Tamar Valley and is a leading producer of quality cool climate Tasmanian wines. The winery draws grapes from a wide range of sites throughout Tasmania, processing approximately 3,000 tonnes annually.

Job Requirements
About the Role: As the Laboratory Super person, your primary responsibility will be to carry out all chemical, physical and microbiological testing, mostly working autonomously a part time technician will provide some support, while working closely with the Senior Winemaker to get the best results

A great opportunity for potential winemakers with a lab background, working closely with the winemaker tracking ferments and potential for involvement in juice trial assessment.

What's Required: Successful applicants will possess the following attributes:
• You must enjoy working in a hands-on capacity and have a solid knowledge of laboratory quality systems.
• You will possess excellent communication skills, a high level of self-motivation and be committed to a high standard of wine quality.
• Experience in computer operations and a strong focus on attention to detail will be essential in gaining this role. We use Vintrace.
• You must have the ability to work well in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience or interest in yeast propagation is an advantage!

International applicants must possess a current visa until at least June 2025.
