Our client is a long-established, Australian estate-wine producer whose wines span the premium to super-premium/Icon categories. In addition, the company imports and markets a range of popularly-priced import/agency wine brands which are world-renowned.

An unusual career opportunity has arisen for an experienced National Key Accounts Manager, based in Melbourne, to take budgetary and profit responsibility for strategically managing and developing the sales of the company’s FMCG brands to Australia’s ‘big two’ drinks retail groups. For the right individual, this role will have a high degree of autonomy from the outset and the potential for medium term advancement to the top level of the company’s management.


Job Requirements
To be the successful candidate, you will have a relevant tertiary degree and sound experience in managing branded wine sales in key sales categories and channels. Your career to date will demonstrate proven success in a senior Key Accounts management role, based on excellent sales, negotiation, analytical and budgetary skills. You will have good business relationships at all levels with the major drinks accounts and an excellent knowledge of the domestic and international branded wine business.

You will be a results-oriented person who relishes the challenges of management. So you should be able to demonstrate that you have the strategic, financial, planning, business acumen and general management expertise necessary to assume further responsibility in this business. Future hands-on responsibilities may include managing distributor/wholesaler relationships in both the Australian and certain key export markets.
