Job Description
Bacchus Wine Merchant is a well-known, respected, family-owned wine distribution company, working with selected wineries across Australia and Internationally. Bacchus Wine Merchant prides itself on exceptional customer service and close relationships with our wineries, making Bacchus a successful and unique Distribution Company in a busy competitive market. Our current customer base ranges from large hotel groups to small laneway bars, restaurants and retail outlets across New South Wales, ACT, Victoria and Queensland.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. This new role will work across multiple areas within the company, assuring productivity and efficiency. The role will include overseeing several departments and work with stakeholders to achieve company-wide goals.

Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Work with our Director to develop and drive key strategic goals for the company
• Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment
• Oversee all departments including sales, orders, purchasing, marketing and account teams
• Maintain constant communication with management, staff and suppliers to ensure proper operations of the company
• Grow the efficiency of existing organisational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organisation’s internal capacity
• Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity and sales targets, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
• Oversee budgeting, procurement, purchasing and stock levels
• Report to senior management on all company activities and deliverables

• Be proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic team player
• Communicate effectively and professionally in all aspects of the business
• Enjoy being the "go-to" person and problem-solving
• Work with a high performing team to assist them in driving more sales
• Have excellent written and verbal skills
• Manage multiple projects and team workflow to ensure efficiency
• Excellent supply chain analysis and planning and organisational skills
• Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.
• Strong IT skills, including database development and purchasing software (MYOB)
• Wine knowledge would be an advantage
• Working closely with logistics company in all states
