About the Role

As the Quality Specialist for Imported Wine and Export you will provide technical and regulatory support to manage our Imported Wine and Export portfolios.

You will partner with wineries and co-manufacturers domestically and around the world as a key contact on annual audits, product quality, new product development (NPD), vintage and product changes as well as regulatory matters. In this role you will also be a cross-functional support to the international team, working with suppliers to deliver quality products to our customers overseas.

Reporting to the Quality Manager you will:

Manage a large portfolio of imported wine through product and vintage changes
Evaluate and build product specifications in accordance with our Quality Assurance (QA) framework, ensuring our products are safe and compliant
Build positive and collaborative working relationships with our suppliers to maximise our core business and supplier partnerships
Partner with our suppliers ensuring they meet our Quality Assurance, Sustainability & Responsible (Ethical) Sourcing standards
Investigate customer feedback and complaints with suppliers, supporting implementation of corrective actions to improve quality
Support international team on export requirements ensuring products meet the regulatory and customer specifications
Continue to build and embed the product quality process across all QA functions within the business

About You

You will have proven technical experience and knowledge of beverage manufacturing, packaging and supply chain. Your excellent communication skills and ability to partner with cross functional teams, coupled with your commercial mindset will ensure your success in this role.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

Knowledge and application of local and international regulatory requirements including; Food Standards, Australian Consumer Law, ATO and Customs requirements
Experience in writing operating procedures and assisting teams to gain or maintain external audit accreditations, e.g. HACCP/ ISO/ BRC
Strong influencing skills - ability to positively engage with others and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Liquor manufacturing experience will be highly regarded
