Job Summary:
Looking for an opportunity to be an integral future shaping member of a new and exciting business? We are looking for a Sales Director who is passionate and highly motivated by all things wine!

Overstory is a family owned, small sustainably focused wine business that has a growing and diverse business mix. Our wine brands have only been in the market for a short period (2-3 years), but they are already being seen as ‘serious wines’ in the industry. This role will be responsible for all wine sales channels, including; distribution, sales reps, exports, imports and supporting direct-to-consumer.

About the business
We are looking for a talented and experienced Sales Director to join our Overstory team, which includes Wayfinder, Small Wonder and Small Story Merchants. The portfolio also includes a selection of curated imported wines from small family-owned producers, who believe that it’s not just a possibility, but a responsibility to provide a high quality, premium products without leaving a heavy footprint.

The Role
The role will report directly to the company CEO and will manage the Sales team. It will require a portion of new and existing account development, so your experience, excellent communication and your relaxed and confident attitude will be key to success. Your duties will include:
• You will drive business growth through new and established sales and distribution channels.
• Develop and deliver strategic sales plans.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships in export and import markets.
• Actively work towards clear targets and implement sales strategies.

About You
• Minimum 5-7 years sales experience in similar role, with wholesale wine sales in Australia, or Overseas.
• Commercially astute and a proven stragetic approach to sales.
• A confident relationship builder with outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• You have strong attention to detail and the ability to influence effective outcomes based on sound reasoning and advice.
• Strong understanding of domestic and international wine markets is essential.
• A willingness to travel as required.
