Embarking on significant expansion, promotion, and branding activities, they are now seeking to appoint a passionate State Sales Manager - VICTORIA as the business continues its growth.

Job Description

Reporting to the Sales Director and with strong working relationships across the organisation, the role will lead the Sales function in the Victorian market, charged with growing sales revenues, case volumes and gross margin objectives ensuring the achievement of the annual budget, developing customer call-cycles, identifying growth opportunities and building brand awareness of Corryton Burge brand across on-premise/ off-premise and other consumer channels. The role is accountable for leading and achieving all sales, new business development and relationship management activities through targeted promotional, marketing, and brand building initiatives, assisting in the development of sales strategy for key accounts and subsequent business plan execution for key trading partners. You will control, manage and agree deals, discounts and promotional spend with accounts whilst achieving core range distribution targets, develop and maintain strong trading relationships across all key account groups via new line presentations, tastings, key event promotional planning, range extensions, trade shows etc.
Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

Job Requirements
The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will have high-level sales & relationship management skills, strong financial management, planning, and communication abilities gained in a similar position within the Wine/ Beverage or FMCG sector, with specific experience in On-Premise/ Off-Premise and Consumer channels. You will be able to demonstrate your success at managing major accounts to deliver strong sales growth, business development and superior customer service, informed by category reviews and business analysis.

In terms of personal attributes, candidates will be skilled at communicating and interacting well with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders, who can demonstrate empathy, patience, self-motivation, resilience and effective customer relationships. You will have a sense of urgency, excellent follow up skills, the competency to manage multiple tasks to a high standard and the ability to resolve problems in a commercially effective manner. Your success to date has been built on a deep understanding of stakeholder diversity, managing competing agenda’s and dealing with ambiguity. Coupled with this will be your well-developed emotional and social intelligence capabilities.
