Job Description
Karatta Wines is a leading boutique wine producer, established in the seaside hamlet of Robe. Producing wines from family owned, estate vineyards an exciting opportunity exists to join the management team of Karatta Wines.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Tasting Room and Gallery Manager is a dynamic and multifacted role responsible for day to day operations as well as broader responsibilities of local on premise sales and local events. This role requires collaboration with artists exhibiting within our Gallery, Robe businesses and the Robe Tourism Association.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Overall responsibility for the day to day operation of the Tasting Bar and Gallery. This includes rostering, recruitment and performance management of the Tasting Bar team.
• Development and expansion of the Karatta Wine Club.
• Event planning both onsite at the Tasting Room as well as off site in partnership with other local business.
• Regular communication with artists whom exhibit and sell their art in our Gallery.
• Achievement of sales targets by successfully leading the Tasting Bar team.
Job Requirements
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a retail or sales-based field. You are able to communicate, collaborate and be a team player.
• A passion for wine is essential.
• You will need a drivers license and RP badge.
• Experience with CRM and online club management and communications will be viewed very favourably.
• Competence in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Xero will be an advantage.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to deliver sales targets.
• Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
The Karatta Wines Tasting Bar and Gallery Manager will be a critical member of the management team, delivering a high quality experience to our guests and playing a key role in the growth of our business.
This position is full time and we offer a competitive salary with a wine allocation.
