Job Description
Awarded Distiller of the Year and Australian Organic Exporter of the Year, we are one of Australia’s most respected and operated wineries and distilleries; bottling and marketing the iconic St Agnes Brandy.

We are seeking a passionate, reliable and physically active person to join our team as Trainee Distiller & Cellar Hand. The position is a permanent full time position culminating in the successful completion of High-Risk Boiler License and Certificate II in Wine Operations.

About the Role:

This role involves working in a collaborative team environment and your duties would include:
• Operation of winery and distillation equipment and machinery
• Effectively and efficiently carry out duties in the distillery during the distillation season, as directed
• Effectively and efficiently carry out duties in the spirit bond and cellar, as directed

The successful applicant will have:
• A good understanding of work health and safety requirements
• An aptitude for winery and distillery equipment and machinery operation
• Good literacy and communication skills
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail
• A High Risk Forklift licence is preferred
• Confined space entry training (preferred not essential)

This is a varied and active role which covers every aspect of winery and distilling work from crushing through to preparing wines for bottling/despatch, distillation and bond work, in a small, dedicated team environment.

All applicants must be available to undertake shift work including afternoon shift and night shift during vintage and distillation season.
