Job Description
We are recognised as one of Australia’s leading producers of super premium cool climate Biodynamic Wines.

This is a hands-on position you will be involved in all facets of daily vineyard management, maintenance and machinery operations in order to harvest super premium biodynamic cool climate fruit. You will work in conjunction with the Chief Winemaker and General Manager to meet targets and deliver clean and super premium fruit to the winery from our vineyard near Hobart in Tasmania. You will work in an environment where land stewardship and a strong workplace health and safety culture is embraced.


Day to day operations of vineyard machinery.
Pruning/Vine training and canopy management.
Pest, disease and weed management.
Daily pre start checks of plant and equipment.
Accurate record keeping of spray applications and vineyard operations as required.
Keeping maintenance records up to date for all plant and equipment.
Participate and assist in implementing a culture of safety in the vineyard.
Follow Work Health and Safety procedures and company policies.
Undertake other day to day operations of the vineyard as required.
Participate in and provide all necessary documentation for all audits keeping environmental & sustainability commitments front of mind, including ensuring compliance to any relevant environmental laws and compliance obligations.
Conduct basic servicing and repairs of machinery.

Job Requirements

A Bachelor of Applied Science, Agricultural Science or equivalent. Certificate 3 Viticulture also accepted
Intermediate computer skills
At least 5 years viticultural experience
Chemical User Permit or willingness to complete
Have experience and knowledge of operating vineyard machinery
Cool Climate viticulture experience
Organic and Biodynamic experience a plus
No herbicide viticulture management experience seen as a significant strength
Good communication and time management skills
Be able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to motivate teams to complete tasks within specific timeframes
Safety awareness
An understanding of industrial relations
