As the Vineyard Operations Manager at Byrne, you will hold a key position in overseeing and directly engaging in all facets of vineyard operations, ensuring the cultivation of premium grapes. You will work with a team of dedicated individuals, implement strategic plans, and uphold the required standards of viticulture practices. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic plans for vineyard operations, aligning with overall business objectives.

• Manage all aspects of crop management, including planting, pruning, irrigation, and pest control.

• Coordinate grape harvest operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to the winery.

• Supervise and implement vineyard irrigation requirements.

• Lead (along with being hands on), train, and motivate a team of vineyard workers and contractors to achieve operational excellence.

• Implement quality control measures to maintain grape quality and consistency.

• Oversee maintenance and operation of vineyard equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards related to environmental, labour, and food safety.

• Foster collaboration with other colleagues and partners, including winemaking, marketing, and sales.

• Co-ordinate and maintain, along with present the property including conservation, plant and equipment.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in viticulture, agriculture, or related field (preferred) but not required.
Drivers Licence required.

• Proven experience in vineyard management.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of viticulture practices, grape varieties, and vineyard management techniques.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions.

• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak harvest season.

• Chemical Accreditation

• Preferred but not required forklift and truck licence, along with First Aid Certificates.
