Job Description
M. Chapoutier boasts some of the most iconic vineyards in The Rhone Valley, France.
Known for its production of esteemed, imported French wines such as Hermitage, Cote Rotie and Chateauneuf du Pape, M. Chapoutier also produces ten great Australian wines.
The carefully selected vineyards in the Pyrenees and in Heathcote were founded by Michel Chapoutier in 1998.
His vision for winemaking encompasses a deep commitment to extraordinary terroirs, organic and biodynamic viticulture.

We are looking for an experienced vintage cellar hand to join our team in Heathcote. This is an opportunity that will allow you to be part of a well-respected brand and work in a fulfilling work environment. You will be expected to follow SOPs and to perform all cellar duties in accordance with plans from management and OHS standards. You will participate in all winery and vineyard operations for the duration of the harvest. This is a casual position beginning mid-February, lasting approximately 8-10 weeks.

Job Requirements

In order to be successful in this position you will have:

• Previous winery experience (minimum 2 vintages)
• A comprehensive understanding of the winemaking flow and principles
• A comprehensive understanding of cellar and barrel room operations
• An understanding of organic viticulture and winemaking practices
• Forklift and laboratory experience an advantage
• The right to work and live in Australia is essential
