Job Description
Turkey Flat Vineyards are seeking an enthusiastic cellar hand for the upcoming vintage. Based in the Barossa Valley, we’re a small, family-owned winery with a strong history of success, focused on producing premium wines from Rhone varietals.

Working alongside the winemaking team, the successful applicant will be an integral part of Vintage 2022. This position will have an emphasis on, but not limited to fruit intake (crushing and pressing). This role would ideally suit someone who likes to work in a small team, loves music, food and of course wine and is happy to work varying hours. Your enthusiasm and aptitude will be matched by the responsibility and challenges given to you.

Job Requirements
• Minimum 2-3 vintages (preferably in a small winery)
• Laboratory experience desirable but not essential
• Currently in Australia with either residency, or a valid working holiday visa
• Current Australian forklift license
• Fit and healthy with the ability to work 6 days a week for up to 12 hours a day
• Ability to work in a small, positive team
• Be punctual and reliable
• Good attention to detail
• Able to follow instructions
• Pay will be based on an hourly casual award rate
• Job will start mid-January and cease in early May

Turkey Flat, a family-owned estate which plays a vital role in the Barossa Valley’s rich cultural heritage. Situated on the banks of Tanunda Creek in the heart of Barossa where bush turkeys once roamed, reside Shiraz vines from 1847, some of the oldest in Australia. Christie Schulz is the fourth generation to become caretaker of this remarkable estate. We are a true estate winery, growing, making, bottling, and marketing our wines. All aspects of our vineyards are committed to reducing the environmental footprint, with a vision of a truly sustainable agricultural business which operates as a functional, not just a consumptive part of the ecosystem.
