Job Description
At Make Wines Australia we produce premium wines from our McLaren Vale, Blewitt Springs & Adelaide Hills vineyards, predominantly for the growing Beresford Estate and Press & Bloom range. We also produce other popular wines & products such as Galway Pipe Grand Tawny, Queen Adelaide, Andrew Garrett Sparkling Shiraz, Adelaide Hills Three Oaks Cider & Bickford’s pomegranate juice. We produce our wide range of products at our modern winery in the beautiful Langhorne Creek region of South Australia.

We are looking for 3 people to join our small Langhorne Creek winery crew as Cellar Hands for the upcoming 2024 Vintage. Commencing in February 2024 for approximately 8-12 weeks, we operate on day and some afternoon shifts only, with no night shifts. Shifts, weekends and public holidays are included at the WIA overtime rates.

Whilst previous vintage experience will be highly regarded, it is not essential. On the job training, EWP and Confined Space Entry training is also provided. For the right person there is also an opportunity for ongoing employment, with at least one position expected to continue past May.

Duties will include all cellar operations including grape and pomegranate receival and processing, operating the crusher, racking and transfers/wine movements, cleaning and pressure washing, filtration, fermentation, pump overs, fermentation sampling, barrel work, cellar hygiene and other vintage processing. All of our people are expected to ensure a high standard of hygiene of all vessels and cellar equipment.

• Own reliable transport and accommodation
• Forklift (high risk) licence will be highly regarded but is not essential
