Job Description
Blue Pyrenees Estate is seeking vintage cellar hands for the 2025 harvest.

Established in 1963, Blue Pyrenees Estate is a medium sized winery situated in the heart of Victoria’s Pyrenees winegrowing region 2 hours north-west of Melbourne. We source fruit from 300 Hectares across our three vineyards: Blue Pyrenees Estate, Glenlofty Estate and Decameron Station. We craft a wide range of wine styles including traditional method sparkling wines, elegant white and rose wines and full bodied, oak matured red wines from our high quality, cool climate, Pyrenees and Grampians GI fruit. Our winery is in the process of gaining ACO certification for organic production, and we are proud to be a certified member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.

Traditionally vintage runs from late January until end of April with additional post-vintage work available for the right candidates. We are located 8km from Avoca and on-site accommodation is available for vintage staff.

Job Requirements
Working with our winemaking and permanent cellar team, successful candidates will be exposed to all aspects of the winemaking process from fruit processing, fermentation management, general cellar and barrel work and other harvest related tasks.

Successful applicants will possess the following attributes:
• Good physical fitness and ability to complete physically demanding cellar tasks
• Attention to detail & a strong work ethic
• Positive attitude and a good sense of humour
• Willingness to learn
• Communicate effectively in English
• Work well individually as well as part of a team

Prior vintage winery experience, confined space training and a current Australian forklift licence will be strong assets for your application, but not mandatory.

Remuneration will be commensurate to experience and governed by the Wine Industry Award.
We pride ourselves on being a fun and inclusive workplace that fosters personal growth and development, with a focus on health and safety and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
