Australian Vintage Ltd (AVL) is an ASX listed multi award winning Australian wine company with a strong global reach. AVL’s portfolio consists of the McGuigan, Tempus Two, Barossa Valley Wine Company and Nepenthe Brands amongst others. Part of the AVL Group is the Austflavor Division which is a world-class grape juice, grape juice concentrate and non-alcoholic wine producer.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and technically astute induvial to join our growing team, based at our Buronga Hill Winery in the Mildura region. This role will provide strong technical support to the production of our industry leading non-alcoholic wines and grape juice and concentrate products utlising such technologies as Spinning Cone Column and Centritherm Evaporation.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a winemaking background or similar discipline to step into one of the fastest growing categories in the liquor industry- non-alcoholic wine/alternatives. Job Requirements
Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager - Austflavor (Mildura based) your primary duties will include but not limited to:
• Champion the day to day operations of the Spinning Cone Column program.
• Prepare non-alcoholic wine blends to style and specification for bottling.
• Manage label and market compliance for all non-alcoholic products.
• Manage spirit production records and utilisation.
• Assist with trials, innovation and continuous improvement both with products and operations.
• Assist with grape to juice processing during harvest.

We are looking for:
• Formal qualifications: Tertiary qualification or currently working towards the completion of Tertiary qualification in Wine Science (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Communication skills: We are looking for someone with strong communication skills who has the ability to build positive relationships within our business.
• A team player: We are looking for someone who thrives in a team environment where collaboration is at the forefront of day-to-day operations.
• Computer literacy: The ability to demonstrate sound computer skills is essential. Previous experience using Ezy Wine is advantageous.
• High attention to detail: This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high quality of work.
