Job Description

Heathcote Winery, established in 1978, was one of the first commercial wineries in Heathcote. The building dates back to 1854 when Thomas Craven established ‘Craven’s Stores’ to cater for the the huge influx of gold miners seeking their fortune in the heady gold rush days.

Heathcote Winery has a passionate commitment to produce wines truly reflective of the Heathcote Region with an individual stamp of innovation and excellence.
We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working and passionate winemaker with the drive to meet the business objectives of the company through active participation and cooperation in a team environment. The role will provide the opportunity to create award winning wines of superior quality and individuality.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the responsibility of day to day winemaking and will also involve close coordination with the vineyard so good communication skills are essential for success in this role.

• You will possess excellent planning, logistical and laboratory skills and seek to be part of a dynamic team that strives to continually improve wine quality, efficiency and sustainability.
• A broad spectrum of industry knowledge, skills and experience is required for this role.
• This could be attained through tertiary education with approved certification and/or through a minimum of 3+ years of winemaking experience.
• A keen desire to communicate with the public at trade events and functions will also be highly beneficial.
