With our business growing, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced winemaker to join our Barossa team with a focus on our commercial wines.
Job Requirements
This position is an integral part of the Chateau Tanunda winemaking team with specific responsibility for our Commercial portfolio of wines sold to major retailers around the world – reporting to the Chief Winemaker.

This role will be attractive to an experienced winemaker with proven track record of responsibility for development of wines and styles from beginning to end. We are looking for:

•Demonstrated high level skills in Quality Management Systems, product traceability, chain of supply quality assurance compliance and audit performance.
• Ability to work with multiple supplier relationships to achieve optimum quality and cost outcomes.
• High level of communication and is skilled in customer relations

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Oenology (or equivalent) and 5-7 years minimum experience.
• Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid existing Australian work visa and a current driver’s licence.
• Current Covid-19 vaccination is an ongoing requirement for this role

Château Tanunda, Icon of the Barossa, was established in 1890 and is the site of some of the Valley’s earliest vines as well as its first winery. The Château is privately owned by the Geber family who continue a tradition of fine winemaking spanning three centuries.

We are home the Old Vine Expressions wines, an iconic collection of wines from some of the oldest vineyards in the world dating back 50, 100 and 150 years in age.
