Winemaking & Administrative Support (0.8 FTE)

McLaren Vintners is a 5,000T premium custom crush facility located in the heart of McLaren Vale, processing fruit primarily from McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. We partner with a high-profile client base who have collectively achieved over 100 trophies in the past decade. Our focus is on quality, collaboration, and delivering exceptional outcomes for every client.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Winemaking & Administrative Coordinator to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity (0.8 FTE). This dynamic role supports the Winemaking and Client Liaison teams across a range of administrative and operational functions throughout the year.

About the Role

This position plays a key role in supporting our winemaking operations through accurate data entry, workflow coordination, and day-to-day communication with internal teams and clients. You’ll help ensure that winemaking activities are well-documented and that client and cellar teams receive timely, organised information.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support to the Winemaking team
• Manage and maintain accurate records and data entry in winery software systems (e.g., Vintrace)
• Coordinate and process cellar work orders, additions, and inventory updates
• Support with new oak tracking, dispatch paperwork, and barrel records
• Liaise with cellar, laboratory, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow
• Assist with client communications and documentation
• Perform filing, reporting, and general office duties
• Provide support during fruit intake periods (e.g., weighbridge assistance)

You're an organised, adaptable, and tech-savvy individual with a strong eye for detail. You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy working with systems and processes, and are confident communicating across different teams.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong administrative and organisational skills

• Ability to manage content across a number of web-based production platforms

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Intermediate computer literacy, especially in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Experience with winery management software (e.g., Vintrace ) is highly regarded

• Previous experience in a winery or production environment preferred

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility to work varying hours during the vintage period.
