Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Casual Duty Manager to join our Cellar II venue team.
This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional looking to enjoy more sociable hospitality hours, or someone seeking great work-life balance around university or other commitments.
The successful applicant will ideally be available for 3, up to 4 shifts across Friday to Monday.
Our venue operates primarily during the daytime, with no gaming and minimal late-night trading. Shifts conclude at 10pm on Fridays and 6pm on all other days.
You will become part of a close-knit, high-performing team in a dynamic and growing hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Cellar II venue
- Lead and support weekend staff, including timesheet management
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong communication standards
- Manage venue opening, closing and cash reconciliation procedures
- Assist with stock ordering, inventory control and stock management
- Conduct wine tastings and provide engaging wine experiences for guests
- Execute private events, functions and large group bookings on weekends with the support of casual event staff
- Maintain high standards of venue presentation, service and guest experience
- Ensure the venue closes smoothly each evening, professionally managing guest departures at the end of service

- Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate and Responsible Person Badge
- The ideal applicant will have hospitality management experience.
- Have sound wine and beverage knowledge
