King Valley Wines is looking for experienced vintage staff for the 2027 vintage. Located in the beautiful King Valley, we specialise in Italian grape varieties – Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Canaiolo, Nero d’Avola, Pinot Grigio, Verduzzo, Garganega, Arneis, Prosecco. The area is rich in Italian heritage and Australian folklore. If you are looking to gain expertise in these varieties, in a modern winery, this is the place for you. Job Requirements
Cellar Hands
• Vintage winery operations – additions, transfers, crushing, pressing, clarification, fining, fermentation procedures, tanker loading, oak filling and cleaning
• Grape receival forklift drivers
• Modern clarification techniques, low and high solids cross-flow filtration
• Bottling Line – counter pressure Monobloc, labeller, over packer, robotics
Laboratory Assistants
• Conduct all routine laboratory tests and reporting of results in a state-of-the-art laboratory
• Weighbridge operations
Prior cellar and/or laboratory experience is highly desirable, and specific job training is provided for individuals.
Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid Australian work visa.
Dependant on the growing season, our vintage is anticipated to start early February 2026 and go for approximately 10-12 weeks. Work hours will fluctuate in line with seasonal demands. During vintage team members must be available for day, afternoon and night shifts, including weekends, as required. There are also opportunities for long term work beyond harvest into June, July, August.
